PeopleConnect is excited to announce their next event PitchForce, taking place Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 5 PM-8:30 PM at RocketSpace (181 Fremont Street, SF, CA 94105).

PitchForce is a part of a series of monthly fund raising events for high tech, software, clean tech, medical device, biotech or medical diagnostic companies. Each month ten companies are chosen to participate in PitchForce. Presenting companies will each have a demo table and have the opportunity to meet and network with angels, VCs and guests during the first hour. Attendees will then vote for their favorite company and the top five will get to present to a distinguished panel of VCs.  The panel then chooses who they feel is the most promising startup. The winner will get a meeting with our Sponsoring Venture Capitalist, Opus Capital for a full Pitch Session to the Opus team.

Ajit Deshpande

Ajit Deshpande is a senior associate for Opus Capital, where he sources and evaluates investment opportunities and contributes business and technical assistance to portfolio companies.

Ajit is an MBA graduate from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and is a Kauffman Fellow, Class 17.  Prior to business school, Ajit worked for eight years in engineering/operations roles in semiconductors and cleantech and recently had stints in internal corporate venturing, angel investing and technology investment banking.  Immediately prior to joining Opus Capital, Ajit consulted with a startup in the cellular cloud access and network services space to help develop its go-to-market strategy in preparation for venture fundraising.

Ajit has a broad-based interest in the technology sector and is especially excited about new investment avenues being created by rapid strides in device connectivity, data computation, and storage.
